Our New Couch

This is kind of outdated now, but I thought I should have a new post. Anyway, for our anniversary Adam and I decided not to get each other anything or go anywhere, but rather I finally convinced him we should get a new couch.

It was a tough search, because our place isn’t exactly large, but we found the perfect couch and at a good price, especially after the $500 we’ll get in free groceries. Thanks Linders!

Adam bought this couch when he first moved to Long Beach in January of 2005.

It was a fine couch, had a bed in it the whole deal. But honestly it was just too small for us to be able to lounge out on, and it was especially awkward when we have company and only 2, maybe 3 people could fit on the couch. I had been trying to convince him we needed a bigger one for a while now. I even started a “couch fund” with any birthday and Christmas money that I got, so I could save for it. Adam took his birthday money and went to Tahoe with his friends, but I, I saved mine for a couch! And I got it! Here it is…

We love this couch for a couple reasons, it’s big, it’s comfortable and it’s moveable. You see there’s a chaise and a love seat that you can actually reverse or remove from the couch entirely so it’s awesome. If we ever move from here we won’t have to worry about the configuration being wrong or anything like that because it can be changed all around!

Anyway – I am thankful for our little home and our big comfy couch, and for my parents who helped us pick it up and move it in!

I am also thankful for my brother-in-law Nat whose birthday is today!

Happy Birthday Nat! I am sure you’re probably go on some long run or ride to celebrate! Enjoy!

Love the couch! It definitely looks like a space saver, too, but still BIG!

hey whitney! first of all, thanks for visiting my blog, so fun to hear from you. second, i'm so jealous of your couch! we've been trying to slowly, ever so slowly figure out the furnishing situation in our new place and i am just dying to get a new couch or something. we have these futon looking things from IKEA that just look so not right. i want a couch that is L-shaped like yours, a sectional type with lots of pillows too. nice work!
