It's been a while since I've spent a time in San Francisco, so for Labor Day weekend it was nice to spend a Saturday there again. I have a love for that city like no other, it really is just a magical place for me. So many good memories there.
We headed up to the bay area to spend time with Adam's sister Katie before she left for School in Europe for a year getting her maters in Earthquake Engineering. We also spent time with my sister Julie and her family. All in all it was a great family weekend.
Saturday we went to San Francisco with the Shongs and hit up Alamo Park which is a beautiful area of S.F., home of the painted ladies, or rather the homes featured in the opening credits of Full House!
We also took a stroll through Fisherman's Wharf down to Pier 39. We had lunch at Rainforest Cafe, my niece Mia was dying to go.
Here we are at Rainforest Cafe with nephews Noah and Kai

On Sunday, back down in Santa Cruz we had a BBQ filled with ribs galore, BBQed, Smoked and Baked. Delicious! We stayed up until 1:00 am playing catch phrase and had a great time with the fam.
On Monday we decided to stay in Santa Cruz until later in the day, so we headed in to the Santa Cruz Mountains to go for a hike then headed over to the Mystery Spot. Let me tell you it was quite the experience there, it's hard to describe, but if you're ever in Santa Cruz I'd recommend finding this tourist trap, and why not, it's only $5 a person.
Here's a few shots from the Mystery Spot -
