After our fablously relaxing day in St. Thomas, we hit the ground running in Dominica. After much research, I decided to book an excursion with Levi Baron and Bumping Tours. (Pictured above) I really don't think we could have ended up on a better tour. We did the Roseau Valley Treasures tour and it was outstanding. Levi was an excellent guide and knew so much about the island and loved his hometown. After a few stops for pictures, we found ourselves in the fresh cold water swiming through Titou Gorge. One word, AMAZING!! The water was no colder than the ocean, and we were able to swim through a gorge, where they actually shot part of Pirates of the Caribbean 2. The swim led us to a waterfall where we jumped from a ledge into the falls. We then climbed up the falls, to an upper falls and played around then dove into the pool below! We tried to take some picture with our disposable underwater camera, but it was just too dark in the gorge and so none of them turned out, alas, I googled some other pictures and found some shots, so you can see how beautiful it all was.
Swimming up the gorge looked like this...

After the Titou Gorge experience, we made our way to Trafalgar Falls. Another wonderful experience was had there. Trafalgar Falls is a unique product of mother nature. There are two waterfalls side by side, called the Mother and the Father. The interesting thing is that the Father Falls actually comes from a hot springs and is warm water and the Mother Falls is fresh cold water. We jumped from hot spring to hot spring, then went over to the Mother Falls and cooled off in the refreshing cool water that flowed into the pools below. It was a lot of fun to hike and be able to swim in the falls and experience such wonderful expressions in nature.

Our tour was far from over. We drove around the island, stopping at a sulphur pot hole, botanical gardens, and several other view points. To top it all off we headed over to Champange Reef to enjoy snorkeling. Because Domicia is a volcanic island, the reef has bubbles that come up from the ocean floor, and it's one of only a few reefs in the world that does this.
Adam couldn't seem to stay under the water long enough to get the picture taken, but here we are snorkeling...

We certainly had a full day in Dominica and made it back to the ship in the nick of time. I think it was 5:15 when we got back on board and of course the dinner that night was a formal night, and dinner started at 6 pm. So my time to get ready did not allow me to dry my hair, but I think we still looked pretty good.
