Goings on

We went to Santa Cruz for Thanksgiving and ate this...

We relaxed and went the the beach, and ran and played games and hung out with these fine people...

I  am so lucky to belong to this amazing family, I really needed this time off, and enjoyed every bit of it.

And then I came home and turned our guest bedroom into a kitchen storage area that looks like this...

Why... well, because our Christmas present to each other this year are new counter tops!  The other Christmas present is that we're having someone else install it!  Although we will put up the back splash ourselves, but there's no way Adam was going to figure out how to cut a granite slab and install that.  Thank goodness this won't be a DIY project!  Before and after pictures may take a while to get up, since I want the kitchen to be as complete as possible before I take pictures.  Crossing our fingers all goes according to plan!!!
