Thank You and Goodbye

Thank you Mom and Dad Blaesser (and Nat) for the amazing weekend in San Diego! We had such a good time. Unfortunately we all forgot our cameras!! I was so frustrated, I am really going to be a boring blogger if I keep forgetting my camera everywhere I go! We really had such a nice time, it was just the right amount of relaxation and activity. On Friday night Adam surprised me with tickets to see Weezer at the Cox Arena. It was such a great concert and significant for us too, Weezer was the first concert we went to back in 2002!! Saturday we went out to the San Diego Zoo and came back and had a wonderful dinner and topped if off with sundaes from Ghirardelli Ice Cream Parlor. Adam also managed to upgrade our room to a suite at the Marriott, which is always nice, don’t ask me how he does it, but he’s good at finagling deals. On Sunday we slept in and then got up and walked around Balboa Park and enjoyed the Gardens and Museums there. It was so nice to get to spend a weekend away.

I am now off to my next Adventure! SOUTH AFRICA! That’s right tomorrow at 6:11 am my flight leaves from LAX to JFK, 6 hours there, then I get on another plane and fly for 17.5 hours South Africa. I am really just a ball of anxiousness and nerves. I am traveling alone, and going to be met there by a host, whom I’ve never met before. This is trip for work that I am privileged and blessed to be able to go on. I will be doing an evaluation of a potential partnership there, among many other things. I just hope I survive the flight and don’t get too lonely. I will be gone for a total of 12 days, 3 of them spent on airplanes and in airports. It is definitely an experience on a lifetime, I really do have the best job in the world.
