South Africa Part 2

The Beauty of South Africa that I saw first was in the people and the sounds and culture they share. The natural beauty there is also some of the most amazing sites I’ve ever seen. Part of my visit included a drive around the Panorama Route which overlooks Blyde Canyon and has a great history of people. Here are some of the pictures I took.

I also was blessed to be able to spend a day in Kruger Park, where they have the Big 5, meaning, buffalo, lions, elephants, rhinos and leopards. Among thousands of other animals. I saw some of the most beautiful birds there I have ever seen! I didn’t get to see all of the Big 5, but I was 3 of them, lots of elephants, rhinos, and buffalo. We also happened upon 2 Cheetahs! There are only 200 Cheetahs in the whole park, and there are 2,000 lions, so how we happened on 2 Cheetahs and no lions is beyond me, the cheetahs were pretty far away from us, but we had binoculars to look at them. You weren’t allowed to get out of your car so I am only in one of the pictures, which is fine with me, I was tired of taking pictures alone.

Every step of the way I was looked after. I owe special thanks to everyone involved in making my trip so wonderful.
