We were lucky enough to fit in a Giants game on Friday night with Adam's parents and brother.
If you're a Blaesser it's pretty much required you be a Giants fan. It's a good thing I am, I think I fit in pretty well.
It was a great game, with a Giants win over the Rockies of 5 -2. Barry Zito had an outstanding performance, and the crowd chanted Barry, Barry Barry as he finished with a Strike out in the 8th.

Saturday we all woke up looking forward to Mia's big day. She was going to play in her soccer game, then be baptized at 4 pm. Well unfortuneantly the poor girl woke up with a fever and even threw up that morning. Her Dad gave her a blessing that she would be able to get the rest she needed and be able to be baptized later in the day. So while Mia slept the morning away, some of us went and had a picnic in the park and went for a fun little hike, San Mateo really is a beautiful city.

When we came home, Mia was in the shower and seemed to be all better! We were so happy everything worked out and that the faith of Mia and her family for her to feel better was strong enough to get her well. She got all dressed in her beautiful white dress and looked so pretty. The baptism was very sweet, she was baptized with another little girl from her ward and they were both just so excited. Funny how things happen though, because just after Mia was confirmed you could tell she was not feeling very good. Her Dad gave her his coat, because she was getting the chills. So the pictures afterward aren't exactly the best, as the poor thing just wanted to go home and get warm. Sure enough she got home and threw up again and spent the rest of the evening in bed. I laid with her for a little bit and watched "A League of Their Own" with her. Love that movie.
Here's the Shong Family before Mia entered the waters of baptism

Adam's going to make a great father someday - look at him handling these two boys like a champ!
This was after the ordinances had been preformed, poor little sick girl...
We were all supposed to go out to dinner as a big happy family, but with little Mia back in bed, that was not the case. She really did think that it was pretty special that Heavnely Father would help her feel better to be baptized and then just as it was over, made sure she did not over do it, and that she get back to bed to get the rest her body needed. Little miracles, the power of the priesthood really is such an amazing blessing that I am so thankful for.
While not everything went according to plan for the weekend, we still had a great time, and are so thankful for our families and the time we get to spend together.
I am sure Adam will love that I put this up. Kai was so excited to wake Uncle Adam up, I had fun just laughing at it all.

That is so wonderful. I had the same experience the morning I was to be endowed, 2 days before being married...I woke up so sick and throwing up. I was given a blessing, was able to sleep a few hours, and feel well enough to go through the temple later that afternoon. It was amazing!
