Kicking off Summer

Life is good. Life is great in fact. It is so good I haven’t wanted to slow down and blog. While it has been good, it’s been extremely busy, but all with good stuff. I’ll start with Memorial Day weekend. Adam’s parents came to town and we really packed in the fun. We were tourists in our own city which was actually really fun.

Things we did included A 4 man bicycle ride in downtown HB on a beautiful day.


BBQ shopping – an early birthday gift from Adam’s parents. BBQ purchased - not without few glitches, note to self, do not go shopping for pre assembled BBQs after dark. We had to trade the one we got out. We had success at last and enjoyed delicious shish kebabs! Mmmm.

We cashed in on our Christmas present – a trip to the Orange County Preforming Arts Center to see Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway! It was awesome!

And to top it all off a trip to Disneyland on Memorial Day! We were all worried there would be terrible crowds there, but really we never waited more than 30 minutes for a ride and used fast passes like crazy. We pretty much did everything by 6 pm. We ate dinner at Blue Bayou and enjoyed the atmosphere there! Something to cross off the bucket list! We stuck around for the fire works show and just had a great day.

I am so lucky to these two wonderful people as in-laws! Thanks for everything! We love you!

Adam’s parents left early Tuesday morning to their life back in Santa Cruz, and I left Tuesday night to go to Costa Rica for work, but that is a whole other blog!
