Why not? It's free

So, for those who don’t know Adam very well, you might not know how excited he gets by finding good deals. After sports, it really is his biggest passion, to research out ways to get more bang for his buck. He's become a Priceline genuis and his latest and greatest find has been Mystery Shopping. Yes, Adam is a Mystery Man. And he loves it! And frankly I do too. Last week we got $45 in free groceries from Ralphs. All he had to do was put a carton of soda on the bottom the cart, and see if the checker noticed it. If she/he didn’t he had to turn around and go and buy it. He got $10 in free groceries and a $5 service fee. This week he had lunch at TGI Friday’s and Yardhouse all for Free. We get Papa John’s Pizza free pretty consistently, and we have a date to Cheesecake Factory coming up soon. Free meals, free groceries, plus they usually give you $5 - $10 for your time. You do have to take a survey and we even have to take pictures of the pizza, but it doesn’t seem to bother Adam.

He does a lot of this on his lunch breaks so it doesn’t bother me a bit. If I could take longer lunches I might be willing to give it a try too. But for now I’ll let Adam handle the mystery shopping in our house. Oh, he tells me that Trend Source is the best company to do this with, and it is free to sign up.

I have to say I actually happened upon this little gem myself, and Adam was impressed. I have been selfish about this find for a while because I know a lot of you will sign up to do it and it’s tough to get a spot, but I decided not to be selfish anymore. So here it isFree Movie Screening.  It’s kind of sporadic and they don’t give you much notice, usually about 2 days, and sometimes they’re not convenient locations, but it is worth it. What is this exactly, you say? Basically you get an invitation to go to a movie screening before its release date. You watch the movie and review it when you’re done, and it’s all free. I signed up for this back around April and have only had 3 invitations, but it’s still worth signing up.
Be warned – if you sign up and get an invitation I would recommend getting there about an hour and 15 minutes before it starts, lines are long and you’re not guaranteed a spot, even if you have RSVP’d, it’s basically first come first serve. We learned the hard way, we got there 45 minutes prior and didn’t get into the screening, but they still let us go see whatever movie we wanted that was playing at the theater and we got free popcorn and soda that time. Last week we saw the movieJust Go With It.” It was actually really funny and everything is better when it’ free. Oh and did I mention you can take 3 guests with you when you sign up. It’s awesome!
So some things in life really are free, as long as you give them your opinion.  Oh how I love my husband.  He's quite nice to have around. I think I'll keep him for a while.  Any of you out there who like free food, movies, groceries, they even have amusement parks occasionally – look into mystery shopping and sign up for the screenings! Have fun!

Dang that's tight! That Movie-View website is asking me for an invitation reference number, what do you know about that?

HAHAH that's really cool! I like the free groceries thing. I have to be in the mood for a deal, I like it when they just come to me!

You just register you information with Movie View and they send you email invitations when there is a screening in your area. When you get the invitations they you have a reference number to enter.

Ah-hah! It went straight to that screen after I registered, and I thought I was still in the registration process. I guess it's time to play the waiting game! I'm also on a number of lists here in town that get sneak preview screening notifications sent to me all the time...I've only ever been to one where they solicited my opinion about the movie once, though, and that was years ago.
