Mom

I don’t think there is a more beautiful or comforting word in the world than that of Mom. The peace and joy that I am filled with each and every time I see and talk with my Mom is overwhelming. It’s amazing that even at 28 years old I can feel so vulnerable and so much like a little child when I am around my mom. She still comforts me when I am in pain or need a shoulder to cry on. My mom was never one to push me too hard, to the point of resentment. While she encouraged me and guided me, she always let me choose my own path and she led by example. She is a woman of faith who has the most forgiving heart a person could have. She is the glue that holds us all together, she has never given up on any of us, despite the terrible things we have all done to her over the years! Oh, the heartache we put our moms through, and how I wish I could take so many things back that I did and said in my teenage years and into my early 20s. Never once though did I feel like my mom wouldn’t forgive me, or be there at my side. I am so thankful I was born to a beautiful, wise, fun, ,loving, talented, intelligent, faithful woman, who I am luck to call my mom.

I am thankful as well to my Mother-in-law, who raised her oldest son to be responsible, dedicated, capable, intelligent, and caring and so much more. I am truly blessed to feel so much a part of the family she brought into the world and cared for and nurtured for. Adam calls his mom at least once or twice a week, which I would say is much more than the average, married without children, son does. He is always looking for ways to make her happy and know how much he loves and appreciates her.

What a blessing to have these two women in my life. Your examples of selflessness and love do not go un noticed. You are my heroes! Happy Mother’s Day!

And to all the Mom’s out there, you are all incredible and I hope you’ll watch this video to be reminded of the divine role you are playing, and I admire you for it.
