The Journey of a Wheelchair

Today I got an email at work from our partners in Colombia who have been distributing our wheelchairs for a couple years now. They're wonderful! They really go the extra mile! Traveling for hours to take a coupe wheelchairs to the town of Macarena so that people could have mobility and new opportunities. Not only during their journey there were they stopped by the Guerrilla and had their radio and phones stolen, but they traveled some pretty crazy roads. I just had to share!

Getting ready to set out on their journey to deliever wheelchairs

First you must cross this "bridge" or what's left of it...

Then you have to go over roads like this

And even some deep waters

Is this even a road?

But they arrive safely!

To meet this man - who knows when the last time he got out of bed was...

His life is now changed forever! The journey was well worth the results!

What a good day! I love what I do!
