The Little Things

Today Adam is 28. Which means in three months I will be 28. We’re definitely not getting any younger.


But I love growing older with this man. We’re just so good together. I think we do a pretty good job at keeping each other grounded. We’re not flashy, or over the top romantic, but Adam does so many little things that keep our relationship healthy and strong. Here are some of those little things that I notice, but may not always show enough appreciation for.
• He takes care of the car problems and doesn’t complain about it.

• If it’s 9 o’clock at night and I tell him I want a McDonald’s Sundae, he never hesitates to go and get me one.

• He pays all the bills and takes care of our finances

• He lets me watch romantic comedies, even though he hates them

• He does the dishes when I cook

• He cooks dinner at least twice a week.

• He doesn’t get annoyed when I want to be lazy and do nothing

• He tickles my back when I ask him to

• He lets me shop when I feel like it

• He tells me when I am being stupid

• He saves us a lot of money

• He likes to take me out to dinner

• He understands my need to exercise and encourages me to do it

• He let’s me dream about vacations and send him links to cruises

• He’s a Priceline genius.

• He spends sooo much time with my family, and we only get to see his a few times a year

• He doesn’t try to be someone he’s not.

• He doesn’t care that as soon as I get home and showered I get in PJ’s, have no make up on and put on my glasses. (I have kind of let myself go now that we’re married, but it’s so much more comfortable, and Adam doesn’t seem to mind)

• He always asks if I want a blanket when we’re laying on the couch watching TV

• He washes my car

• He is always willing to run to the grocery store when I have failed to pick something up for dinner.

• When he see’s something at Costco that I might like he always calls and asks if I want it.
The list goes on and on and I am so thankful for all the little and big things Adam does to show me he loves me, he’s the best.
