This pregnancy is seriously just flying by. I can't believe I'm already in my third trimester. Life has been just so busy, but Adam and I have managed to squeeze in a few moments of quality time together before our lives are forever changed, and the blog is likely forever gone...
We were trying to figure out a memorial day trip to Hawaii or something, since Adam does still have leftover airline miles and hotel points from his traveling day, but with Adam's new job he doesn't quite have the vacation time, so we had to give up on that dream.
Instead however we've had a couple trips here and there to make up for it. I have been terrible about taking pictures though, which is another reason I've not been blogging. But I will highlight a few.
Back in March we drove out to Arizona to meet up with Adam's family in Scottsdale for some good old fashioned spring training baseball. This was a trip Adam worked hard to plan for his Dad's 60th birthday a few months prior.
We had a great time, and were able to reveal to everyone all together that Adam and I were expecting! It was fun to tell everyone in person! I was only about 13 weeks pregnant at that point, so the reality of us being close to parenthood hadn't really settled in yet.

Our next little getaway was over memorial day weekend. Instead of Hawaii however, we headed out to
Pechanga Resort and Casino. So with all of Adam's mystery shopping he pulled in this pretty outrageous shop. It was 2 nights at the resort, $1,000 of gambling money, 2 Billy Idol concert tickets, and all our meals. But let me tell you, this mystery shop was intense. We had to be in so many places and do so many little assignments, we were both so exhausted when we got back. But instead of being able to nap, we took surveys. So, so many surveys. It took the two of us two full days of doing these surveys to get it all right. They did pay an additional $300 to take the surveys, but honestly I don't know that we'd ever do it again. It was a little too intense.

Next up another overnighter, another Mystery Shop. This time it was just one night at the
Hyatt in Newport Beach. Because Adam still has "Diamond Member" status with Hyatt from all his travel with Boeing, we were upgraded to one of their Villas. This shop was much less intense than Pechanga and much more relaxing. It was fun to eat nice food, and enjoy a little more relaxation.

The next trip was our annual trip up to Huntington Lake. I can't really call this exactly "babymoon" status, because it was Adam and me and 5 of his closest friends from college, plus a few of their spouses. Nonetheless, it's always nice to get up to the mountains, enjoy the fresh air and relax a bit.

We've been busy bees, besides trips together, I had a work trip,up to Seattle where I spoke at a Symposium on Disability Technology in Low and Middle Income Countries. It was a great experience, and I certainly enjoyed being part of the intellectual side of creating a sustainable programs. While there I took the opportunity to spend time with my one of my best friends from college and visit her family. She just had a baby in a few months prior, it was so fun to visit their lovely little family.

The weekend after that was 4th of July! My favorite! I was glad to finally have a weekend home! I was also glad to have visitors to help us with the "neglected" nursery. Adam's parents and his brother came to visit, and while we had a great relaxing and fun beach day and BBQ on the 4th, they got to work for the rest of the weekend helping to paint the nursery and some furniture as well. We were so glad to have their help!

The week after that, was Girls Camp! Yes I went to girls camp at 7 + months pregnant. Running around after 85 teenage girls wasn't all the bad though. These girls were so great, and I loved working with them. They really are such special young women and I have a lot of love for them!

Next up a fantastic time at the Bradshaw Family Round Up! My mom had spent over a year planning a reunion on her side of the family. It was a huge success. We went up to Lake Arrowhead and enjoyed being with 72 of our closest family members from all around the world! My mom worked so hard and everything really was just wonderful. We played great games, had a talent show, time at the lake and pool and of course great food! I'm so thankful for memories like this and that we were all together.

After the big old family reunion there were more fun times with my Billen siblings and their crazy kids. It was so fun being all together, I really wished we lived closer and didn't have to go a year and half before we all can get together. We were able to have one of my nephew's, Kai, baptized down in Southern CA while everyone was still in town. What a special day for this kid. He's seriously the sweetest, I just love him!

All that, and summer's not even quite over yet. We still have one more trip! Thankfully I've been a feeling pretty good, but I am slowing down a lot these days. September 26th will be here before we know it and our lives will never be the same.

We are so glad you could come stay with us!! Henry asks us all the time when we are going to come visit you (and lego land). :)
P.S. Charlotte and Troy have the same crib in different colors!
Sounds like you guys have a pretty good setup with the place you mystery shop with. Which company is it?
