Because Adam has class on Monday nights, I don't have to rush home to make dinner or anything, so today I enjoyed a great session at the gym, Spin class and all, then was trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my delightfully warm evening. I decided I'd head to the Huntington Beach Central Library. I grabbed three books, one for our book club...
One that I have been meaning to read forever just for my leisure...
And one that will help me in the work realm...
Because it was such a perfect evening, I decided to go outside and walk around central park and start reading The Bell Jar. I loved walking around the park with my nose in a book, just enjoying my surroundings and a good book. I eventually sat down on a bench right where there was a constant stream of night blooming jasmine fragrance wafting my way. It was perfect.
Walking around Central Park after spending time in the library brought back a lot of great memories. And I am so thankful to live in this wonderful placed called Huntington Beach. As much as I pine to live up in the bay area, I really am very happy in good old HB as well.
And as much as I love my husband, I think at times I will miss my alone time on Monday nights. Adam's graduating from USC with his MBA in a couple weeks, and I'm so proud of him, but I do think perhaps I'll miss this "me" time, so I better take advantage of it now!

Congratulations, Adam for finishing his MBA, that's amazing!
I LOVE The Bell Jar... Maybe that makes me a little psychotic, but oh well. Let me know what you think when you read it.
Love you!
I totally am with you on this one! There is something sacred about having down time all to yourself. Even with out kids... it is a rarity!
I am looking forward to reading the Bell Jar. I just picked it up today too!
