Can this master bathroom project really be done? Ok so there is like 2% more to do, things like paint touch ups and a few plumbing issues to take care of, but I couldn't resist. It has been 8 months, 8 long months of construction. It all started back before
Christmas. The fact that Adam has been traveling 75% of the time, and that we had some delays with the wrong size tub and other materials didn't help speed up the process, but it's done, and despite that every time Adam turns around he tells me he is unhappy with the way it turned out, I couldn't be happier! He worked, tirelessly, Saturday, after Saturday, he devoted all his free time to building this beautiful bathroom. I really wasn't much help until the end when it came to grouting and painting and finishing touches. I am just completely useless when it comes to doing handy things, Adam, on the other hand, considering he's all self taught, is just amazing. Have a look for yourself.
BEFORE
DURING
 |
| Adding a bullnose to the tiles |
 |
| Busy cutting tile, we had the cops called on us for disturbing the peace. |
 |
| This picture is dark, but it is really hard to get tile to fight gravity, sometimes you have to help it. |
 |
| Grouting, the only part I can help with. |
 |
| Chosing a paint color was awful, we ended up with a VERY light brown, I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually repaint. |
AFTER
Isn't it glorious! I do still need to get new towels, a soap dispenser and a trash can, plus we may put up a back splash, but like I said, I just couldn't wait to share. Adam notices all the tiny things that didn't go in perfectly, but he should be so proud of this. Because the tile I fell in love with was supposed to be only for floors, there were no
bullnose pieces, so there was a lot more tile work to do on this one than our last one, my advice to any of you do it yourselfers, bullnosing tiles is a long process, and we have the tool to do it now, but I wouldn't reccomend it. And now, it's time for me to go soak in my new beautiful bathtub! Thanks Adam!
